She apologises for the white balance of the photo as there was an unnatural light source in close proximity! :wink:



Also, afoaf would like your diagnosis on the following pic. It has only occured on the main growing stem of the planet directly beneath the light - not on any other plant. She thinks it may be simply light-burn and has moved the light 3-4 inches further away. The tips aren't crispy to touch, so aren't dehydrated as such even though they look as though they are.

yes, that looks like a plant that has been too close to a hps light, have had that myself, raising the light is one thing, but also think about air circulation, i would also have put a fan near that plant  :smile:

Thats mighty fine. Yeah I would also say its got some light burn. How far away is the light from that top. Intead of raising the light try bending it over so you dont deminish the intensity of the light to much.

Circulation is a bit of a problem as it's a smallish closet only capable of supporting a 400W HPS and 4-6 plants. The only fan is an extraction fan at floor level.

Hmm so you are pulling the hot air from above down threw the plants. If you could I would get another fan at ground level blowing in to help cool the air.
