How can you keep seeds good forever?

How can you keep seeds good forever I heard of some having cannabis seeds from the 70's and they still grew. I read it online. Had it in a container and refrigerator. What do you all think? What is best way?

describe "forever" like as in even after the end of the world they would germinate? or in 20 years? or 100 years??

i would keep them in an airtight jar, and away from light/extreme temps.

I like to put them in vacutainers stuff a towel down in there so they dont move, and then stick a syringe in the vacutainer and suck out as much air as I can. :thumbup:
