Hollow Knight is good if you like that kind of thing. 2D metroidvania kind of thing. You're like a warrior bug and everyone is bugs and all the levels are underground tunnels with lush green shit and giant mushrooms and your fast travel system is riding a bigger bug

Whelp, my 2 year old epileptic nephew just had a 5 minute seizure. My brother and sil are on their way to CHOP in Philly. Think it might just be that he outgrew his current dose of medication..I'm so worried though. Philly has had this thing on lock tbh(though it is obviously a bit of a hot spot) and CHOP is one of the very best in the world, but goddamnit I wish my family could just stay the fuck away from hospitals during this lol :sad:.

Our older son has epilepsy too. Pretty rare for his seizures to require hospitalization though. And they are a lot less common than when he was younger. But they are scary anyway.

It's good to hear that they've tapered off - what age did they kind of start to decrease if you don't mind me asking? That's really what we're hoping for. He's such a smart and charming child, it breaks my heart to see him after these episodes, just a complete wobbly mess..sometimes for what feels like a really long time afterwards. He doesn't normally have to be hospitalized - but it seems like he hits a growth spurt, outgrows the medication dose, and has a massive seizure.

Same exact thing happened Easter weekend last year. I just hope they don't get exposed to covid...fevers are not great for epilepsy.

Off the top of my head maybe 10 or 12? Used to be about every 3 weeks and now it's more like every 2 or 3 months. The neurologist said it can go either way as they approach/go through puberty though, it can get worse instead of better. Not to be negative.

Yeah, he's got a long way to go before we really have any clue what's gonna happen with it. One physician said it might be doose syndrome, but most doctors are pretty much just like...:shrug:.

He's totally normal and functional on anti-seizures...but I've been on those for migraines(different med tho) and they sucked the life out of me, so I hope he's having an easier time with them.

Thanks. I appreciate that. It sucks but dare I say we've kind of gotten used to stuff like this..this is just the first time during the pandemic that he's had issues. Makes me nervous. I worry about all of them catching it just by being at the hospital.
