feel all trans and dumb now tho; the package is being delivered in Mom's name for the convenience
but will be having to sign for it as the person here
and they asked my name on the phone and instantly responded "Marie"
then realized I have never actually done a signature with my real name, only ever with my deadname
and wondering if I should practice before they show up or not
it will most likely be that shitty digital signature pad that does not show up properly anyway
but this is requiring me to make a sort of "final decision" on whether my signature will be my full name or just initial my first and middle and sign my last name

the second method is preferable because it activates the punny portion of my name

it was part Marxist destruction of all the old cultural works that were produced under the Chinese Emperor system, and thus were seen as tools of culutral control for the rich and powerful
and part a sort of sentiment that China had been in the West's shadow due to clinging on to their past and a need to break free of that
