Get some lady bugs!!! They eat aphids and They're really fun to release them too. Sometimes they fly away if released during the day so just release like half at night and then more the next day.

Mantises would be even better to release, but I don't know how easy they are to get, or if they even eat aphids. They're just really cool.


I really want to get out and protest. I have just been way to busy at work. I have extra time tomorrow so I might try to get out then. I hate the looters though and don't want to be any part of that unless we are looting government buildings. I hate to see these "Mom N Pop" businesses being destroyed. Even the big box stores being looted is sad and it takes away from the main message that we need police reform.

One of my cars has a blown head gasket so it might be good to take it downtown and burn it for insurance money and to support the cause. Either burn it myself or park it downtown and load it with "Support The Police" stickers so someone else does it. Maybe start it on fire, put a brick on the gas pedal, and send it straight into the police line!

Pretty much gonna be confined to my little make shift office today except for lunch. Emergency electrician visit. Completely avoiding the entire floor he's gonna be on, opening up all the windows(thankfully the weather's been really nice), and everyone is wearing their n95 masks(including the electrician) if we have to even be on the same floor as him.

They will infest though. But speaking from personal experience, a ladybug infestation isn't all that bad compared to most, they don't do any damage, they eat pests. Especially because I've always been taught that they were good luck and have a few instances of confirmation bias to confirm it.

Mantises do eat aphids, and are great. I was thinking about ordering babies or eggs for the garden since my plan to relocate the one out front fell through pretty much as soon as I even thought about messing with that thing though.

Ladybugs sounds nice! I wish I had a big enough garden to justify getting some, really they'll just fly off into the street and if they're lucky into the neighboring parks.

My girlfriend's mom made some delicious carne en su jugo soup, which is basically just meat and bean stew, but she took it to the next level using the stew as a base for a salsa soup and it's  :homerdrool:

I'm also getting my braces off next month!

I do not miss braces. I absolutely hated having them, but I'm super thankful that my parents got them for me as a kid because I had a huge gap in my front teeth. I didn't give a shit as a little kid, it was just early mornings and an old guy that had awful coffee breath with his hands in my mouth, but whoo I am certainly glad to have gone through it now.

Ya know we used to have crazy amounts of ladybugs (always show up around :potleaf: IME) but for whatever reason they haven't come back this year. Probably why I'm dealing with the aphid problem for the first time.

Hit them with some homeopathy and doused the plants but I'm really surprised at how fast they started killing the poor guys. Gives me some respect for those biblical locust plagues.



Loph if you do go out please be safe and don't do anything crazy stupid, okay?

It's cold here. I mean, it's gorgeous and sunny out, but it's 63 degrees farenheit in June. I need long sleeves.

Its hot over here, well sorta. The house still feels cold. Its supposedly 75 but feels colder than that. Its supposed to get into the 80s today.

I'm actually loving this open window weather a bit, even though I am feeling ready for summer. It's nice to actually have a spring. We haven't had many of those lately. Usually it jumps right from winter to high heat and humidity.

It is going up to +30 today
am hiding out with the AC on and the blinds all shut :lol:

yesterday was hot but with a strong cool breeze; took the dogs for a walk in the evening due to sleeping 14 hours straight and not getting up until the afternoon

today am more on schedule, but it was raining this morning and grossly hot and humid now
so maybe today is going to be my rest day to recover
not that walking is high impact, but my muscles are still needing to ease in
did two laps yesterday without my cane and by the time of getting home before the third my legs and back were super seized up x-X
but still took Chance for a third with my cane just because he was so excited to go again

hope all of you have a fantastic day with regards to relative weathers tho

yeah I'm not looking forward to it. I always end up paying more than I'd like cause I need to keep the a/c running otherwise the ambient temps for my computers are like 85+ which is pretty bad for the hardware. I really need to invest in super awesome insinuation for my house :sadyes:

AC is out in the office today, it's on the fucking top floor too!!!:mad2:

Got a stupid swamp cooler and a window open so I'm at the point of just barely sweating/not sweating.

@CC: me and the mate did coke on fri and sat night (maybe about 1.5g a night) and probably drank a quart of hanger vodka between just the 2 of us over 2 days, so I'm a little dragging today too, lol. Just sat around and smoked bud yesterday, well a small bong bowl, 2-4 hits really.

Planning on going to our cabin next weekend. Last time I was there with my brother we were on the deck laughing and talking, not yelling and whooping and being drunk etc...and the fucking neighbor up the hill yells down to us "hush up, y'all be quiet down there"! Like we were some teenage kids or something. It was only about 8:30pm too! Now we have to go talk to them and tell them that we will be making noise and laughing and talking on our deck at our cabin that we own 11 acres of land and it's not a a covenant either etc...Fucking pissed me off and the mate told me it's BS too. Mate wasn't there or we would have had that conversation right then and there.
