reasonable people would assume that that you are making an excuse here for why citizens in general, or perhaps even you in particular, should have time to study for this insanely easy multiple choice test.

The questions were insanely easy, particularly if you don't need a perfect score.  I really expected it to be much harder.

Dude, you randomly started talking about the civil war out of nowhere.

Why wouldn’t somebody want time to study ahead of time?

If you go to the DMV to renew your license and they say you need to retake the written, you damn sure will study whether you’ve been driving for 25 years.

Lol, no.  When I moved back to California after being in Jersey for 7 years, I had to retake the test.  I just took it without any prep and got a perfect score.  Why study when you have been driving daily?  You need a reminder of the laws you follow every day?

Same goes for the citizenship exam.  You've been living here this whole time...why would you need to study?  If you lived in borneo for a decade, maybe you'd forget something about the system, but why would you forget if you've been living here constantly.

First off, i didn't bring up the civil war randomly, it was the answer to 2 questions on that silly test.  I already said this.

Second, I had to retake the written exam after I had my DUI years ago.  I didn't study for shit.  Those tests are also ridiculously easy and don't require a perfect score in order to pass.  It's kinda scary actually.

I already told you that I didn't. I didn't even study for the New Jersey bar, to be honest.  I studied for about a week for the California bar.

Lawyers do drink a lot.  In law school, there was an open bar event at least once a week.

But, no...they call it the bar because there is traditionally a barrier between the audience portion of the court and the part with the judges and lawyers.  That barrier was called "the bar" and you'd be litigating "the case at bar." The idea was that only officers of the court would pass the bar and enter that area.  They were called "barristers."  So, when it came time to set up a licensing scheme for attorneys, it became the bar association, and the bar exam, etc.
