mildest species of mushrooms?? * 1

what I mean by mildest, are there species that will give me some nice feelings without tripping my balls off. I've done my share of acid and mesc. back in the day, but never shrooms. Just looking for something that's not going to blow my mind away at my age. have read that tampaensis is nice?. Its been along time forgot what the feeling is like. something that is relaxing, yet energetic and will allow me to concentrate of cool stuff like painting and some of the hobbys I'm interested in OR is this a matter of dosage, regardless of the species?  Thanks - great forum!!

Just take a lesser dose of whatever you can find. Even 0.25g you can feel on a regular cube.

It depends on dosage more than anything. Any strain variety or species for that matter with the exception of maybe some uber potent species, will probably give you the effects you’re searching for at the right dosage

How I “microdose” would likely give you the effects you’re looking for. I microdose around .2-.3 cubensis, some potent mushies will give me nice relaxing effects at that dose range. I’d imagine you could go a little higher than that for what you’re looking for, depends on how potent your mushies are :thumbup:

Certain types of cubes are "mild". African Transkei is one. Mazatepeca is another. Dosage matters as well. Any MS homegrown cube really.

As for species, the most "chill" shroom Ive ever done which is one of my absolute favorites is Ps stunztii (the species in my avatar). I love that species so much. Ive only found it once but it was the most easy going psychedelic Ive ever done.

they say liberty caps don't exist in florida, yet i've been eating "liberty cap" look alikes for over a decade that produce a sedative and very very visual trip

I forget the name but others here will know what i'm talking about. I've had great experiences with them, tho they taste like crap. It's a very very dreamy and sedative trip.

Try drying some psilocybe cubensis out with the sun.
Psilocybe cubensis are relatively weaker than most psilocybe containing mushrooms.

You will get the weakest form of 'magic mushroom' species this way.

Still psychoactive just not as potent.

After 11 years and around 150+ trips with mushrooms...I have never had a certain species or strain of mushroom that constantly gives "mild & gentle" trips.

I also have never had a certain species/strain of mushroom that constatly gives "intense" or difficult trips.


Some species & strains are certainly more potent than others...The "woodlover" species that I work with most, cyans and allenii, are consideraibly more potent than any cubensis I've ever had. But that's not so say a mild/gentle trip can't be had with those potent species, and that's not to say an incredibly intense/deep trip can't be had with cubensis/weaker species.



Some strains/species might have a slightly different character about them from the other trace alkaloids besides psilocybin and psilocin....But how mild or intense a trip is going to be mostly comes down to the dosage, not the strain or species. With potent strains/species, one will just have to adjust their dosage accordingly lol.
