I miss w bush sometimes , I like how we all just knew and agreed that he was kinda dumb and accepted it for what is was  but focused mostly on the fundamentals of the policy’s in question.
    Thought he was a terrible president but kinda liked him just as a person . He liked being out in the country , working hard playing with chain saws and shit . I can relate to that I like that shit too.
  I doubt trump has or ever will hold a power tool , can’t relate to spoiled rich douchebags at all .

Not really, I voted for Obama in 2008 and then Trump.

For the local, state and Congressional, I vote a mixture of independents, D's and R's.  There's no consistency to my voting habits.

Republicans and republican controlled areas generally have and advocate for poor(relatively) education. That is a disadvantage in a society where education is beneficial.

OK, I understand what you're suggesting now and in many cases that is definitely true. 

At the same time, many affluent and highly educated Republican majority areas are also VERY pro-education.

I’m not going to post that analysis from 538 again, but highly educated areas and Republican areas are becoming mutually exclusive. Nearly without exception, the 50 most educated counties swung more democratic in 2016 compared to 2012 and the inverse was true as well, the 50 least educated counties swung Republican.

This has been the trend for 20 years, but it really spiked in 2016. I think the mendacity and ignorance of Donald Trump is obvious and offensive to an educated population.

When you consider the context of my post, that being learned versus genetic intelligence, it’s pretty obvious.

But here we go.

First off, I said "Inherent intelligence is pretty worthless in a world where things are increasingly abstract anyways."

So, if we are to argue semantics, you are incorrect as you've misquoted me, even worse you've attempted to cherry pick some wording to make an argument. Context matters.

Second off, the implications are obvious. We live in a world where many of the learned concepts that we rely on are of a theoretical nature. For the majority of the world, but specifically our society (USA) as the stage has been limited to Democrats and Republicans, that wasn't the case even a 100 years ago. These ideas and concepts are impersonal and detached from inherited intelligence and can only be developed through learning.

American libertarianism is a joke, at least on the national level, as it's failed to even remotely separate itself from the Republican party. As a result it's just a proxy Republican party.

Trump tries to have a nationalist cult personality.  He was great at having a shallow rich guy cult personality.  Fails awfully at a cult personality as a leader.

Both sides are at risk of following in a cult like way.  But for the left to be that way is a long long way from tradition.  So there is a lot of people on the right that enjoy their old age cult.  Just start being a wasp and they line up like ducks.

The whole identity aspect of cults are everywhere in society.  Cults are endless.  The military is the worst cult, followed by cops and legal, then politicions (which some legal teams are political).  Whatever your trade is tends to be cult like.  There's an extreme end of a identity, interest that borders worship.

The right grips to power more than the left as a whole.  Also has more extreme followers.  Because the false idea of religion is so confused in their philosophy and practice.
