What was the Russia collusion special whatever Mueller BS about?
    #26065505 -

If you weren’t ever going to say if a crime was or wasn’t committed or had no intentions of filing charges... what in the hell was that sham for? That’s below a witch hunt, that’s just a sham to fool the masses imo

Investigations should not be run by the the same entity

There was plenty of intentions to find any form of wrongdoing, but they always knew it wasn't going to be related to Russia.  It's called a witch hunt and hoping to find anything, even if completely unrelated to the original investigation.

The hatred of Trump has made good people go down an illegal road. Once you suggest that any silly allegation without evidence should have a open investigation that goes beyond the original intend, you destroy due process.

Just like any other commissions in my time. They have no interest or intentions on proving or solving anything

It was a sham, a witch hunt, whatever you wanna call it. But, what I’m trying to say is. Mueller and the DOJ weren’t interested in charging or bringing crimes to light.

If they were innocent he would’ve said so. So not innocent and not guilty :strokebeard:

It’s a mockery is what it is. But that’s my opinion

Does the same apply to the "lock her up" crowd?

I'm an outsider, and from my perspective, there seemed to be a lot of that kind of thing (vitriol, witch hunt type behaviour) against Hillary.  It's just the state of US politics isn't it?

Well, there's a clear difference between political rhetoric and actual government investigations.

Does Hillary also deserve the benefit of the doubt, due process and not to be a victim of a baseless political witch hunt?  Absolutely.

Yes, "criminal shit was found" that was unrelated to the original investigation. That's what happens in baseless investigations.

It's like when the neighbors call the police because they have a noise complaint. The police come to your house and they see a bag of weed, now you're arrested for a drug crime.

I never expected Mueller to come up with some smoking gun, where there's an email from Trump's campaign asking some gov official in Russia to hack the DNC and HRCs campaign. Sadly, many in the news media were leading he public on to the idea that such proof would exist

Putin didn't need to ask Trump's permission to hack and publish the emails. I'm sure he favored Trump, but not for the reasons most believe. He saw a man that would divide the US, have everyone at eachother's throats, there would be overreactions that could be costly. Also, he was angry about the Panama papers leaks, where Euro journalists were publishing dirt on him and his buddies on a daily basis. He wanted the world to see that everyone else can be as shady as him. It's classic soviet style whataboutism.

Also, the FB ads with fake news articles written to create division are nothing new. Soviets have been stoking the US' divisions since the Civil Rights era. I'm old enough to remember before social media, these ridiculous chain emails that were nothing but fake news being forwarded around by friends and family all the time. Looking back it had to have been Russians writing them.

Hillary was subject to 17 separate investigations relating to her emails and Benghazi, and she testified in Congress 33 times. Never caught a charge.

There was evidence. Paul Manafort got drunk as shit and bragged to an Australian diplomat that Russia helped Trump win. The Australian diplomat did his job and reported the blatantly illegal act to the proper authorities.

Ultimately, this is why Barr was selected as AG. He did his best to shut down the Nixon investigation, ran interference on Reagan's Iran-Contra affair, and now he did his job by shutting down the Trump investigation. He basically ordered Mueller to not find anything bad about Trump. Mueller, being a loyal soldier and good republican, did what his boss told him to do.

If you were to read the whole report you’d find that they did have sufficient evidence to indicate he told many people to impede the investigation but they didn’t follow his orders. Furthermore in the legal framework  Mueller presented the President could never have been found guilty but he could’ve been found innocent. In the report it clearly states that they cannot prove his innocence which would be easy if he didn’t do anything. Also it specifically states that once he isn’t President he will be eligible to be held accountable for what they found. One of the big reasons they couldn’t find him guilty is something called fairness concerns, meaning as president if they found him guilty it would arguably mean nothing because it’s a conflict of interest politically.

The investigation itself found out the Cohen is a criminal, Paul manafort is a criminal, the Russians DID act to influence our election and 20 Russians were indicted for it. So if you don’t like bringing criminals to justice or showing Russia that we just won’t let election meddling slide just say so.

Woops, you're right.

George Papadoupolis got drunk and did the bragging.

Paul Manafort just gave the Russians polling data and other campaign materials.

Well, I like bringing criminals to justice, but only when they're hurting me. If a criminal was to rob a bank and give me a cut, I'd look the other way. Or if he elected my preferred candidate.

On the one hand, I'm being facetious, on the other...all's fair in love and war!

Do these same people take issue with the UK and Qatar doing it to a much larger extent?

Uhh, what did the UK and Qatar do?

If you mean Christopher Steele, the UK national that was subcontracted by an American company called Fusion GPS, which was originally contracted by the notoriously right-wing "Washington Free Beacon" to do opposition research on Republican candidates back in 2015, who's dossier was then used by the Clinton campaign after being vetted by the FBI in 2016, then I can tell you there were quite a few steps in the process that were not optional and skipped by Trump.

Qatar I'm drawing a blank.

The BBC and Al Jazeera are state sponsored media, or foreign governments covering US politics and influencing US citizens and their voting habits.  The BBC was biased against Trump, why do we allow the UK government to influence our elections?

This clearly is more "meddling" than a few posts on FB by a few Russian dudes. Where is the outrage?

BBC News is a separate corporate entity from the BBC that does not receive government funding. The part that is funded by the government is basically British PBS, distinct from the news department.

Al Jazeera claims something similar, but it is a little bit less obvious to prove. From what I can tell, Al Jazeera itself is a government funded operation similar to PBS, but is owned by the Multinational corporation Al Jazeera Media Network, which is also a private corporation. And runs the news part of Al Jazeera.

The conclusions of the Mueller investigation are not confusing, in a criminal sense. There was not evidence to bring forth charges on collusion. There was all kinds of evidence of obstruction.
