Hello to every atoms here, im scared from mold need your help * 1

Hello guys, i’m new in the forum and i want to let you know i feel a great energy/culture/ and passion here and i hope to take part of it.
So few weeks ago i bought a grow kit (i know them sucks but i think its a good first approach for a newbie and than i would like to take sporeprints and go on with my own colonized jars) online and set it up, the yeld was not as declared so they gently send me another one...now the situation is this: after the first flush of the first kit i filled with tap water and leave it soaked for 24 h... that has been the stupid thing, my tap water is not really clear and good to drink so now the situation is like that:


Wtf is that yellow stuff? It pop out exactly where the tap water fall on the cake...few mushroom are growing on it but will they be good? Is that yellow mold? Please help me also because i set up the other kit and dont want mold the catch also this one. THANKS

Those are some pretty bad pictures I couldn’t honestly say what you have going on

Take some prints that’s a great idea but since you bought a kit now you’re gonna have a print no syringe. How are you going to inoculate your next jars? :strokebeard:

I can’t get better pic than this but im talking about the yellow muddy stuff, i don’t really know if its mold... if it was mold it will block the growing of the fruits or no? Because they are growing however



I think i will scrape some print in distilled water and then make the syringe isn’t this the process?

Do you guys suggest me to throw ot away? Or at least put it in another room of the fresh new kit?

Why would you buy another kit. There's nothing fresh about kits. Kits are how people get discouraged and end up believing it's too hard to grow mushrooms.

It's discoloration from bacteria from being too damp without evaporating

I buy the first one, which does not fruit as it should so they send me another one for free. That’s it, and yes after this experiance i will not buy more kit but now that i have those two i would like to use them at 100% for the fruting but also for the prints.
Can i ask some more information about that? Is it bad as mold? Or i can let it fruit and then eat the fruits? Is this stuff dangerus in anywAy for the other kit? Why it happens? I just let it soaked for 24 hours as i read on the web...
And then can i take sporeprints from a shroom from the other kit(the new one) and then make the syringe right?
