Your thoughs on these cultures before grain inoculation

Hi Everyone.

Every petri is a 3rd transfer and I just wanted to get your opinion regarding the cultures.

1-14 have patches or areas of little or sickly growth.
15-20 look good to go imo?

Has anyone seen anything like 1-14, is this normal? Or a possible contamination?
Would it be worth just using 15-20?

They are on MEA.

I would transfer a couple more times til you get consistency in your plates.

If you have spare supplies, I'd keep transferring but put those nice ones to grain now. In fact, unless there's obvious signs of contamination, I put all my petri dishes to grain (or whole brown rice in my case). Waste not want not n all that.
