Who is over tripping on shrooms?

Jst curious if anyone on here still enjoys growing and hunting, but no longer consumes the goods?

Personally, tripping is a pretty full-on experience and it is a brave soul who does it again and again and again... my hat off to you!

Uhm, never, I think.  I do take long breaks, but then I've always done that.  :cookiemonster:

Mostly just when I run out though and have to grow more.  :hereyougo:

I think I've gone a year or 2 a couple times without 'tripping' and still doing grows and such.
Still micro dose tho

I am a bit like this. I definitely don't consume as often as I once used to, tho the excitement of the hunt has only ever kept growing.

Haven't felt the need to go back in quite some time, my last trip on shrooms was a good 4 years ago, but i micro dose and low dose here and there

At 21 I was taking acid every weekend. Now I’m 35 and I might take half a hit once every couple years. Same for mushrooms, but I’ve always preferred acid. Tripping is taxing and takes a lot of commitment. It’s easy when you’re in your prime but still young and fearless. When your eminent mortality becomes an ongoing theme in your life you don’t really wanna keep going through trip after trip analyzing yourself under a microscope. I’ve gotten the message! I’m going to die and it’s going to be fantastically terrifying and there’s nothing I can do about it except wait. I’m trying to mostly just relax and enjoy it as much as possible still, without all the dramatic psychedelic emotional crises. I just want to enjoy my weed in peace

Might take a hit of acid this summer though sounds like it could be fun if I can get into the right mindset

Im definitely still tripping.

I do take breaks for a couple of reasons. One, tolerance gets too high. Two, taste adversion to shrooms. And three, run out of shrooms and have to grow more :shrug:

I have just grown a new batch of shrooms and will dive in again more often this summer. The last three years I have excessively used lsd (I still do lol) but it's time for more shrooms again.

I have the feeling I'm just in the beginning of my psychedelic carreer. :sun: Been using psychs now for roughly 8 years.

I've went two years or so without a trip. But thats because I didnt have my own and no one was holding:grossman:

But now I have my own. So this summer will consist of a lot of hammock hanging and forest chilling:trippnballs:

I identify with this. Yea it is taxing, if it were fun every trip that might be a different matter but for me it is a hard slog, so much to process and so much to experience - it is like the Universe pouring itself into my mind, too full on! My very first trip I blacked out and had an alien (as in extraterrestrial beings) experience. Most other trips since then have had some element of anxiety, paranoia, fear, confusion etc. fucking up my trip even though I come out of it feeling like I've had a spiritual experience but its a very warts-and-all type of spiritual experience. Rarely have I had a pleasant, joyous ride and I envy those who enjoy their trips. Micro-dosing is probably better for me :shrug:

something ive learned from mushrooms use is that the things we think come out, like a 'dramatic psychedelic emotional crises' or bad feelings, are already out.  its happening against our better judgement but we are blind/afraid of it:tinfoil:

learn to deal with these emotional issues while tripping and it becomes a breeze in your everyday life.

if you cant handle shit on drugs how the hell do you handle them while sober kinda mindset

I’m over it as far it being an obsession, like it was when I first started, but I don’t think I’ll ever say I’m done for good. 

I haven’t tripped in a couple years because I’ve been in a pretty stagnant place in life for a long time now.  I know that a trip will just emphasize all the things I already am working on and I don’t feel the need to make myself uncomfortable by doing that.  I can’t trip with the expectation of having a fun, lighthearted time anymore. I always have to be willing to face my ‘demons’.

I’m just more deliberate with my trips now.  I either have to be in a really good place, where I feel like I’ve accomplished my current goals and am ready for new adventures or I have to be looking for insight.  Right now, I’m well aware of my goals, I’m just in the process of putting in the work.  This means being more present in the physical sense and less inside my head.

I’m looking forward to being in my next phase of life, though..  Maybe it will include a whole lot of tripping?  Who knows..

Shrooms played an important role in my development.  I will always respect them.  They are fun and rewarding to grow.  In a few months you get LOTS of them, which is great.

But now that my cactus collection is going strong I dont know if I'll ever do shrooms again.  Cactus is such a great fit for me, and even more fun to grow than mushrooms.  LSD was my intro to psychedelics.  Mushrooms were my foundation.  Cactus is my future.  But I'll never forget what I learned from the mushrooms.  They forced me to confront things that had been pushed down inside.  I'll always be grateful for that.

Lol, I shouldn’t assume. I know there are old dudes tripping into their 50s and 60s but for me I think it was more an early 20s thing. It sounds like so much work now. I’m lazy for sure.

I feel you man, funny thing is I’ve never had particularly bad trips and I usually have a great time on LSD, usually somewhat neutral on mushrooms...but it’s so much work mentally and spiritually and I feel I’d be pushing my luck to continue like I did 10 years ago and not expect to see the dark side of it all. Also I feel more spiritually in tune than I ever did in those days and I know I will probably never go back to those days of carefree recreational trips, my mind is already going strange places with no psychedelics ingested in 2 years
