Ready to birth some cakes

My little pug has had some PF cakes incubating for about 3-4 weeks and today noticed some little pins in a few of the jars that are completely colonized so is thinking that it could be time to birth those cakes. She will be using a basic terrarium with geolite in the bottom, a pump will be added later to make a PMP but as she is rather poor right now fanning and misting will have to do. What she wants to know is is it better to sit the cakes in there on their lids with the vermiculite still in the lids or just put the cakes straight onto the geolite?

Anyone else? Ive seen pics of people putting the cakes straight onto the geolite and would like to know what difference it makes.
