Fuzzy-ness on birthed cakes
    #870168 - 09/08/02 01:35 PM (15 years, 5 months ago)

Someone has noticed that the cakes they birthed have developed vibrant white, dandlion-puff-like growths over much of the surface area. A number of the cakes quickly (within 2 days) turned green with what appears to be trich. on the areas with the growths. A number of other cakes, on the other hand, have not turned green and are fruiting relatively abundantly?

Do you think these cakes are contaminated? Or is this just unusual mycelial growth? There is no discoloration and the fruits appear to be fine.
thanks, guys

If the white doesn't turn green, it's ok.
