Cup O' Shrooms 6

I had made a post already, but felt like making a new one and cleaning it up and organizing it a bit.
For starters, I made Grain LC out of two small jars(Roughly 3 spoon fulls of WBS). I haven't grown in some time, and the syringes I was making for the LC were for a friend. They were shaken all to hell and lost a lot of myc. Normally I would just toss these away, however I felt like having some fun with them. Here is their story....
Cup one is just straight uncased WBS. I started it out with just one cup, but after it started fruiting I realized I had to innovate because it was going to run out of head room. Taking the idea of dub-tubs, I created the Dub-Cup.
Unsure of the exact dry weight, but I know it was between 2 and 3 grams. A friend came over with a scale after they had already been drying for some time, and they weighed 17 grams at the time.
A few days after I made the original cup, I decided to make another cup. Same abuse was done to this cup as well. However, I mixed the WBS with some vermiculite, and also cased it.
It's not much, but I've had fun with it. I wouldn't of posted an update or even new thread, however a lot of people seemed interested on here and on IRC. As I said in my previous thread. This hobby is easy, the hardest part is being clean. These things pretty much grow themselves.

Yea, it was a neat experience, and was fun to do. Gave me enough shrooms for my girlfriend to trip on the other night, and I'll have enough for her to do it again. Not bad from a total of 4 scoops of abused WBS!

I honestly do not remember the exact date and time I did it all. I would say a week to week 1/2 to harvest.

About a week. The cased one took a little longer since I let the casing colonize a tad(Like 2-3 days or so).

haha this thread inspired me to make my own cup o shrooms. I put an couple inches of substrate underneath a thin layer of vermiculite. then i just put the two cups in a gallon sized bag and am keeping it thoroughly misted for humidity in there. lets see what it does! will post pic when the little fuckers fruit =)

Cant wait to see some pictures of that!
I want to see more novel substrates made with certain herbs like Rue, Hemp, Poppy, or even dried cacti.

I put maybe 1/4" of casing layer on top. Not to much. You will probably see pinning in a few days. Normally casings take a little over a week from my experience.
