Chances of getting caught growing shrooms

What are the chances of getting caught growing shrooms in your house? Any advice on that? Has anyone gotten caught doing that, or know someone who has? Would buying readymade substrate jars online be a bad idea? (It's cheaper than making my own.)

(Please let me know if any of these questions break forum rules and I'll take this down. I've read them, but I'm not 100% clear.)

That depends on who you tell, and who randomly comes into your area. Best bet? STFU about it and keep it small man. As for if stuff is flagged? Probably. So don't go buying it by the pallet. I would spend extra and go the extra mile with obtaining your supplies.

Very slim if you don't tell people and don't sell them. If you want to trip with your friends, tell them you bought them off someone. Never tell anyone what your doing. Like pyroboy said "keep it small" last but not least dont post pictures and stuff like that unless your skilled with being anonymous. People here may argue against this but I would never post pics of anything I'm doing that could land you a 10 to 20 year sentence. About buying ready made it's not illegal and no one knows if your trying to grow gourmet mushrooms or illegal ones as long as you don't tell people. I've bought stuff from the sponsors here and never had any problems.  Oh and make sure to burn your trash, that way if you were to be watched and your not selling them they will never have reason to get a search warrant

He's right though. Posting photos of what you are doing still adds another layer of paranoia to the equation if not actual risk. But who really knows if anyone has ever been traced from here? In these days of social media it's not really so far fetched.

You also have to consider the evidence you are producing. Not just in the sense of it leading to a bust, but after the bust itself.

As the feds would be all over the suspects computer, if said person is stupid enough to have documented his every grow here on the shroomery, I doubt it's going to do him any favors. 

Anyone doing big grows would be prudent to avoid posting pics online IMO.

Burning, or destroying ones trash is also a wise thing to do. Surely you don't just throw your substrates, and grow stuff out with your rubbish? I used to take the time to break/boil mine (substrates that it) and flush them down the toilet!

For a non criminal facing 10 years with an assortment of prison gangs, paranoia is definitely never a silly thing.

Such people are by nature far less likely to be caught.

Burning the trash seems like a bit too much but as far as bulk grows go you gotta cover your ass.i only have enough for me. Hehe

I think the bigger question is, why would the owners of this forum ever tell everyone here if that ever happens

I mean, they are running a business right?

And that’ll just scare the shit out the customers

That’s just bad business

Like,

If we all have a favorite restaurant and never knew there was a shooting last year that injured customers

The owners would definitely not popularize it because then no one would ever eat there again

...

I’ve been reading that idea posted by a lot of old members since I’ve been researching growing myself

As far as burning trash I was referring to plastic lids with holes filled with poly fill, and syringes if you use them. They arent  illegal but could be probable cause for search warrant

This site has been around a looong time, no one has ever come back saying their shroomery account was used as evidence against them. A lot of people have come back after being busted and talked about their experiences.

The site has https and all metadata is stripped from uploads. The traffic is encrypted and the uploaded content untraceable. IP addresses of forum posts are not proof enough to get a warrant for a few psychedelics that aren't for sale, a judge wouldn't likely even approve a subpoena to get those IP addresses in the first place. If there was documentation of narcotic manufacture it'd be a different story, but there's not.

That said, people have doxxed themselves and tried to deal via PM which has led to all sorts of shit, blackmailed, busted, ripped off. Pretty obvious that is a stupid thing to do though.

Having pictures of previous grows isn't evidence. You're still just busted for whatever you get caught with, if nothing, then nothing. If a tub, then a tub.

How much do you think a single banner ad from a small myco supplier on a page makes? A lot more than the server costs for a forum with traffic like this one?
