hey everyone! i was shopping at walmart today and noticed these in the gardening section. i believe they were correctly labeled as san pedro, but i wanted to get a second opinion. (first and third pics have flash on them)

also, they looked to be the PC variety, which people say is basically worthless as far as keeping it for an active species goes. i know each cactus can vary in potency, but is there even a chance i could trip on these? or would i be better off returning them?

Yes they are SanPedro, yes they are the PC-clone, no they are not worthless.

But they are way to small /young to trip from. Young tipcuttings like these don't have much mescaline. You might feel a very mild trip if you ingest all three plants at once, but it might be a bummer.
Plant them in the ground or a big pot and let them grow bigger for two or five years.
Then take a fat middlecutting of 20 inches. This will make you trip.

thank you for the reply! i wasn’t planning on tripping off them anytime soon, i was more just curious if they were worth growing for that purpose. glad to know i scored!!

i figure it’s best to plant each in its own separate pot yeah?

Yup, definitely San Pedro. looks a lot like the med-potent San Pedro my friend sent me (which I have made teas in the past from). Nice find!

hell yeah, i’m stoked on them!! i have some bridgesii already but i’ve been looking to add to my garden. told myself if i ever came across pedro i’d swoop it up. also happy to hear the potency may not be too bad!!

how much did you find you needed for a good trip w the tea typically?

1.5ft was a medium strong trip, 2ft for a strong trip of thick cuttings.
