Update for the family at shroomey. * 4

Greeting's shroomery. I just wanted to touch base with you and let you know what's up in my universe. I haven't been around much, you know how school, family, work, drugs, mental health, pursuing the yogic arts, soul-searching and self-reflection can distract a fellow.

Well I just wanted to let you know what's in the works for me. I am almost done with my AA degree at community college. This is somewhat of an accomplishment for me being home schooled/self taught but honestly I do not enjoy school all that much. However I only have about three quarters left.

I have an opportunity in the works! If things work out just so after completing school I will have a chance to move to Oregon with some friends, live on some land, and grow cannabis! This is big for me as recently I have not had much direction and at times have not even wanted a future.

I will be around, I love each and everyone of you. I mean that from the bottom of my heart. Keep trucking family. Hit me up let me know what's good with you! Let your love light shine! Turn it on and leave it on!

Hello there.

We havent met but im glad you could take the time to come back to the ole psychforum to say hello. Degrees are quite the accomplishment, strive for the better. Id say go for the bachelors, but then again the cannabis era is blooming. Might wanna jump on it while you got the chance.

Right on man. Glad you are making positive strides. Keep at it :thumbup: I miss college. Good times. Lonely times but still good times.

If u ever need help trimming, im yer guy. I almost got an Oregon Marijuana Processor Permit but descided to wait a bit.

At this point I don't think I will pursue much formal education much further. And you are right about the industry literally "blooming". At the very least it may be a chance to adventure

I tried to be open to the college experience, but I just don't think it's for me. I honestly don't enjoy many aspects of it and it has been a journey just getting my Associate's degree.

Regardless try your best to GO TO CLASS. I failed out of my first College at age 20. I went back at Age 27 and earned almost Straight A's. I had never received an A in my life.

You have to want to learn, so show up and absorb everyday. If you show up to Class every single day you're setting yourself up for success. Just a word to the wise. It's easy to skip a couple days, get behind, and then have to drop the class before you receive the grade against your GPA

Good on you OP. I've nearly finished my first year of social science, I've a maths and a sociology exam to sit in may then finished for the summer.

I totally know where you're coming from about not having any direction. I've been that way most of my life but I have started volunteering with a homeless charity at a hostel near me. I haven't physically been to the hostel yet but I have the security check  done, all the paperwork done and will be starting after Easter. I'm super excited about it and can't wait to meet the people there.
