that is interesting looking for sure, but i have seen oysters grow 'branches' of myc exactly like that. maybe it's just weird looking myc, maybe its a contam... idk

Idk cobweb starting,grey mold starting, maybe nothing,hard to see even when I blow up the pic.
Hopefully your friend isn't overly peeking letting in contams lol

Nobody opens the bins until either I do it or I tell him to do it. And I always tell him to wash his hands and not breathe while the lid is off. Plus these bins have had black trash bags on them and at this point, they have only removed twice to check progress and take pictures.

Is there anything I can do to save it if it is fucked?

I was just asking because us human are just curious by nature,plus I'm personally not a trusting person.

For example if I had a few people at my house and I put a shoebox on the table and before I left made sure to tell every 1 not to look inside it, statistically we all know at least 1 would lol.

About saving it, if it is cobweb your golden, peroxide works, if it's grey mold, I have no clue idk if it's as resistant as trich, but I'm curious if it is.

I’ve heard of hydrogen peroxide - what, just pour a bottle of HP in a spray bottle and spray the affected area a bit?

Don't quote me on this lol please don't but people may dilute it I'm not sure. And I wouldn't spray anything until you know what it is. I believe peroxide can also fuck up the myc and cause mutations.

Trust me, I’m definitely not spraying chemicals on my hard earned project until I know for sure it’s a contam. I just was posting to trust the experts (you guys) to know if I should move it to a different room or if it needs doctoring. I’ve got 5 bins total and I don’t want some BS like this F’king EVERYTHING up. I was just coming up with a backup plan just in case. Thanks *so* much for the advice.

I’m going over to my buddy’s personally here soon and I’ll check on everything. I honestly think it’s just a messed up pucture, but - you never know.
