Slimey shroom ***pic***

The cake this came off was very very slow to finish colonising, my freind needed the jar so she birthed it away from other cakes in its own little terranium (private room).
This is the fruit of this cake :

The cake was put straight into a polythene bag, and when the shroom was squeezed (in the bag) it was full of water. A few other fruitbodies were on the cake, with no sign of anything like this, only very thin stems.
The cake was split and there was no sign of any colour, in or around the cake. There was no noticable smell.

Is this rot???? If not what????

Lots of bacterial contaminates release a slime like ooze. I donno what you have got there, but I do know that I wouldn't eat it.

Thank you all for your concerns on the edibility of this mushroom, I'd have to be one dumb ass fuck to eat it!!!! Would be like eating someone elses phlegm.

just recently got this off one cake which was the last of a bunch to colonize, the shrooms wren't as slimey as the one in the picture but almost, but were full of water, to the point of pulling from the cake the shroom would ooze water.

Anyone know what causes this?
