First of all, I apologize for the quality of the pictures but it was the best i could come up with. this is my first time trying to grow and i am using the standard PF-tek with the PF spore race. i had tons of pins in my jars and i would check on them every day and never noticed any green or blue or anything. it wasnt until i birthed the cake that i noticed the greenish color on almost all of the cakes, which leads me to believe that it is just bruising. i just have heard that bruising is blue and these spots are definately more on the green side. i would hate to have to toss all the jars but that green looks seriously unhealthy. i have not noticed any foul odors or anything either. anyhow, i will try and put some better pictures up later if i can figure this camera out. thanks in advance.

pics are hard to make out, but from what i can see and your description it looks like mold. When cakes blue from bruising, they have large spots where you touched them. When they blue from lack of water, the whole cake gets a blueish hue to it.
If you think its contams, throw on a mask or tie a handkercheif and dissect, before you toss the cakes let us know whats inside.
Keep us updated.

Well here is something you can do to test it out.
Since you are a novice and aren't all that familiar with bruising then bruise them and compare.
Make sure you clean your hands very well and poke at one a couple times in the same spot and see if it looks the same as the possible contam or if it looks different.
Keep in mind the color will probably be darker but it should be of the same basic tone. They should bruide pretty much right away but definitely it should show up withing the hour.

here is an easy test for green mold
take a moist paper towel (moisten it with a mild h2o2 solution) and dab it on the spot.. if color rubs off onto the towel that means it was spores and unfortunately you gots the green. . if no color rubs off onto the towel then yay just bruising.
better than unnecessarily bruising a new spot on the cake..

thx for everyones input. i tried both of the recommended tests. the bruising looks awfully similair to the color of the 'contamination'. i also tried the paper towel test and it came back clean. i have seen mold before on bread and such and this doesnt really look like that at all. plus it seemed really odd to me that all the cakes would mold at immediately after birthing when i noticed nothing in the jars previously. i really had to smack the jars around a bit to get the cakes out which probably caused the all over discoloration...

How tightly were the cakes in the jars when you birthed them? My friend has had cakes come out that looked like that (though yours have been out for a while if they are fruiting) because she packed the jars too tight early on. The entire cake was compressed coming out of the jar resulting in an entire cake that was bruised.
