:derp:

Just like there isn’t other worlds within our world?

If psychedelics have taught me anything, it’s to expect the unexpected. Not everything is explainable by science, not everything is set in stone. We’d like to think this solid reality is all we know...

That’s just not the case...

Mental conditioning from our parents, teachers, politicians, hierarchy, etc... have faked us into believing this reality is the only reality. If you believe anything else you’re labeled as crazy.

Fuck that!

well i don't know, there is not really proof of a past life

I’ll use the opponent’s strategy....  no proof there isn’t one:shrug2:

biology?

I'd never rule anything out, just seems like spirituality and intuition-based philosophy are misguided entertainment, or grasps at superiority through presumed knowledge, more so than anything "real".

if the universe is infinite, the same molecules that make up our brain and body (and maybe therefore our mind) will come together an infinite amount of times in an infinite amount of different ways after we die, forever. If anesthesia is any example, consciousness seems to pick up where it left off without any experience of the passing of time.

how'd it all start, though? what is "it"?

our reality is an interface created by our brain based loosely on non-real-time input from our sensory receptors. The brain then filters most input out, and adds some in. wavelengths coming from somewhere or some thing that get processed to form an interactive experience with reality and a mind to seemingly be consciously aware of it.

is there any sort of source? are there layers of reality and infinite demensions? is this a simulation? even if it was, does that actaully explain anything important?

I'm done rambling

Trips me out, the “norm” if you look back is to actually believe these things.  Here we’ve been completely stripped of all that and now this little bubble of time is the “norm”?  I don’t believe that.  Even the stripped down philosophies speak of other worlds, there’s just some velvet rope some bouncer has to open for you..

@ feevers, seek and ye shall find..

Let me clarify something..  I’m not suggesting we worship spice or whatever, or what it shows.  Most likely, that would turn out to be a trap, or at the least, limiting.  What I’m pointing at more than anything is what these experiences suggest... it’s a, if that can happen, what else is possible kinda thing.  And it feels right...  the whole headspace is like going back to something.  It adds a very real element of ‘alienness’ to this reality... like maybe I unlocked something that stays locked for a lot of people here...  almost like a little love letter during my long journies...

very well put, I know exactly where you're coming from

Alien yet intimately familiar at the same time.

when my vision is laced with egyptian hieroglyphs they feel ancient and external but I feel a part of that ancientness and it all feels like it's a part of me.

one of the craziest parts of psychs for me is people from all parts of the world and time periods see the same stuff. a lot of it seems far more than the whole "structure of the eye" and neuronal pathway theory
