This thing is crazy looking! Is it a mutant? Maybe it just got super dry before the veil broke.

I took some samples for agar. I'm curious to see if clones look the same.

Certainly a mutant. There is a slight chance that was caused by verticillium, I suppose

Does verm do that? Because I didn't use any. I used straight WBS for spawn, straight coir for sub, and straight jiffy mix for casing. Weird because I usually use verm.

I did douse it with baking soda/water at one point to correct the ph and kill some trich. Which worked weirdly.

dry surface conditions can cause the splits all over the caps. Considering that the cap here is also split up, tells me that its pretty dry in there.
