Verticillium
    #6908995 -

well, almost all my cakes and a casing (possibly 3) have gotten infected w/ verticillium due to (probably) my less-than-sterile techniques after fruiting. anyways i was wondering if completely cleaning my grow room/equipment/terrariums with a bleach solution, vacuuming the floor, lysol the air, and etc plus putting the cakes in a 24 hour bleach dunk would be able to save them? or should i just start from scratch with the lessons ive learned?

throw them out. putting them in a bleach dunk would kill them. just throw em out, and take whatever measures you want to clean up the area. if you want to save tha jars PC them for an hour or two to kill the contams and get them pretty sterile.

its really tough to save a contammed cake.

verticillium comes from poor FAE and high temperature. more FAE is needed, also lower the temps. afoaf had verticillium and he did what i just told you and it went back to normal. also shrooms with verticillium are good to eat, i'm living proof of that.

... and not worth spreading spores all over your home. A lil cake can give you years of problems if it fruits you up sometihng nice that nuts all over your house. If you have viable DNA still to grow with then focus on that-
