^ Yeah, true nube - 100 mg of 10x is a good-sized pile. I've been messing with the extract a little bit, and having a nice little Saturday night. I put ~10-20 mg onto a small bit of weed in a bowl (just to act as a bed), and I've taken a couple cautious (but decent) pulls over the course of the evening (trying to just vaporize the extract with the heat from the lighter to burn the weed as little as possible).

Pretty mild, but seems like something is there. Mild anxiety at first, but settled into mellow euphoria. Noticed some fleeting changes in depth perception. I could get into this on its own or mixed with weed. Need to get a cutting just for fun.

Salvia mixed with weed makes the weed high trippier than it is.
I always got very very stoned when I mixed some pain salvia in the weedbowl.

I haven't met much people that enjoy salvia (but me).  First time was many years ago with 60x which is most likely why everyone I tried it with never did it again.

It is a weird experience to take a hit of something and literally within a second forgot that you did it.  My experiences have been good and bad... from watching my brother walking through a wall to thinking I fell in the ocean.

I would suggest a trip sitter but want to point out that with and without one are 2 different experiences.  I always find that with a trip sitter I am spending my whole time trying to make her understand me while being by myself really let's me shed the ego and just be.  Definitely a hallucinogen but not comparable to mushies that is for sure.

I always feel like I got trapped in another wavelength.  I can talk and make perfect sense but the others around me who aren't on it don't understand any of it.  Almost like being the ghosts on 'The Sixth Sense".

I've been curious to see about the effects of microdosing salvia too.  I know acid and mushroom microdosing have some pretty profound benefits but have found very limited info on salvia microdosing as well as just general studies.

breeg, 10-20 mgs is getting your feet wet but I would be able to talk to a cop after smoking that much. I understand wanting to start slowly, but don't stop at that amount if you really want to know.

I would typically recommend 100 mg of 10x if you're ready for the full experience. Actually, 100mg is going to be anywhere from a lvl 3.5-5 - it depends on the person. It's not so easy to put it into levels and such because every trip is different. But 10-20 mgs is something like a level .5-1 ... and go ahead and smoke just the salvia so you won't have to try to be tricky with your lighter and you can just torch the hell out of it.

It would be hard to microdose. Even 1 hit of plain leaf makes u sweat and feel weird.

Oh, I ain't done by a long shot. I don't have the bawls to do 100 mg solo though - would be a different story if I could trust that I would be immobilized, like with DMT. In fact, I've never done DMT with anyone else, and was able to get up to 50 mg fairly quickly (albeit with some profound fear). The effects of Salvia are just too unusual, and the extract potency is too variable. I will probably go a little deeper solo, and anxiously awaiting doing more with my friend (but that won't be for a while). But yeah, I'll ditch the weed. I think mixing plain leaf in with weed will be very nice.

I also had a downright terrifying mushroom trip a couple years ago, and that terror has crept into my last two trips over the last year or so. So now I like to be very cautious with things just because that anxiety and panic can really haunt you.

go into your bedroom and remove anything you might trip over or impale yourself on, close the door and lay in bed with the covers over you. That's your best bet of staying still. The chances of getting up are small to begin with. Even if you do there's enough of your lizard brain working that you probably won't walk into the wall or anything.

I know when I first did it my buddy told me I walked around his deck some. I walked over to his backdoor and couldn't open the knob - like I didn't have enough strength or understanding to turn the knob. Then I walked back and forth between two chairs. One time I came to walking down a hiking trail. Like I came out of a black tunnel and wham walking down a trail in the woods. I was about 100 yards from my camp chair that was turned over on its side.

It's hard to make any sense of this but although you are totally out of it you still have some ability to navigate and control over your motor functions. But like I said, I've only walked around twice in around a hundred salvia trips (guessing, I don't keep count of such things).

There's a video on youtube where a guy gets up and jumps out of the window. No way of knowing if it was actually salvia though.

I would smoke it on ground level. First floor or even outside if it's not too cold or public. Laying on the grass, not much can happen except some grass stains

Really good advice from lurk and RGV - slowly getting there. I ditched the weed and got a solid hit, holding in all the smoke (small pinch, but I'm a softhead with most things and I'm thinking Salvia is no exception). I started to feel like my vision was somehow out of sync with my brain. It felt like my eyes were aligned at a particular horizontal plane, and my head was moving on a discrete horizontal swivel. Can't really explain it, but not at all unpleasant. Then I got the sensation of being elongated, with my head being gently pulled upward and to the right, as if starting to curl into a spiral. This wasn't frightening at all, but was actually very euphoric. After a few more minutes, this upward curl reversed itself, and I was returned to my normal form.

I know I'm not even scratching the surface yet, but I'm a big fan of these low dose experiences. I think I could really get into quidding to prolong these types of effects, and I'm sure I could up the intensity with quid as well. It's a shame that Salvia has gotten such a bad rep from people failing to respect it.

quidding is messy and I found it disappointing in comparison with smoking small amounts and stretching time and space for a short time.

IME, quidding doesn't give quite the same type of stretching/flattening/rolling effect so common to smoking, but does give the 'awareness on a swivel' effect.

For me, generally, it's more like my awareness gets bigger...larger than my body...and I mentally picture others in the same way.  Sometimes this can be unnerving because there's a feeling that everyone knows what everyone else is doing at this level (I find this feeling often happens when smoking as well...but even moreso.)

And also there is this 'unfolding' of awareness, like a flower that is opening up.  And you can also spend time practicing attaching and detaching your awareness from your body because you're very close...it's a subtle but obvious ability.  Like a magnetic attachment that you can work with.  When you smoke, you typically are quickly detached and taken much farther away until it wears off and you then quickly reattach and you don't have the same options.

And there are ways to quid which are not messy and you don't risk drooling all over yourself so much...

It must suck, or I think LSD alone is not good. Salvia on LSD seems like a good idea, similar to DMT. For some reason DMT on mushrooms never really worked for me, because of cross tolerance. Salvia alone is like DMT. Smoking it isn't recommended and they say you have to chew the quid, so using your own plant instead of extract is better, supposedly, or longer lasting (like 45 minutes). If you need it to last longer it could be mushrooms or ayahuasca you're looking for, but peyote is supposed to be the best.
