No, that's too much. If using JUST coir, use 3 quarts of water. The recommended 4quarts is if u add verm. I made that mistake before too.

Yeah, about 3 L (3.17 quarts) works for me, with the same brand actually. Bod's tek suggests 5 times the weight of coir in water. So (650g * 5) = 3250g = 3.25 L of water. I found that that was too much for eco earth though, always had to add verm. 3 L seems to be about right. You've got to be able to judge the field capacity and adjust accordingly though

Yea. He probly didn't check field capacity. It's probably doomed, sorry to say it. U can TRY to remove the lid for an hour or 2 a day so it can dry out a little. But in my experience, only the top will dry out, the middle and bottom will stay saturated...

That reflects my experience as well. It's much easier to add moisture from a dry sub than remove it from one that's oversaturated. Good luck nevertheless :thumbup:
