Pinning issues with pictures

It’s been 5 weeks. Is there anything I can do to promote pinning? It’s MS AA+ and I’m starting to get worried I’m missing something.

There is a few things you can do to encourage pinning. More FAE, lowering temperature a few degrees, and misting. In the third picture you can see some light pinning that is occurring.

So, I have it resting on a binder clip to increase the gap. It’s in a room with a ceiling fan. How much more space should I create between the boxes? I created to much fae on my previous attempt and it matted.

I'm a first time grower but from what I've read so far the 3 really important factors are temperature, humidity on the surface and enough FAE. Do you have your tub at about 20-23 degrees centigrade? Is your surface dry or oversaturated with water? (there should be tiny droplets throughout the surface) Do you have enough air exchange? (try fanning it 1-2 times a day)

I can try fanning. I live in Texas so temps range from 22-26c.
As for surface conditions, are the photos not detailed enough?

Looks damn good for being around 5 weeks spawned. Geeze idk i guess jst gradually increase fruiting conditions till you see pins. Hell, you may have to treat it a little mean or something, idk.

Week 4 should be harvest time for first flush, substrates don't look very healthy but I do see some hyphal knotting (very early stage of fruit development) in a few spots. If those a very recent it's a better sign I guess

but there seems to be some hyphal knotting in a few spots, I wonder if those are very recent or what

5 weeks? Shoeboxes fruit in 2 weeks on average. Something is up.

Could it be that I over saturated the substrate? Or too little oxygen?

Looks like oyster mycellium in places.  I dont think it has enough fresh air and there is some kind of bacteria in it slowing it down.

If you observe his dubtub setup and compare to some other proven methods you'll notice that oxygen depravation is not an issue with cubes like it might be with some other species. Neither is FAE an issue in this case. I would mist the substrates and monitor the hyphal knots to see if they're growing

It’s not growing vertically so I doubt it. I forgot to put a 1/8 Verm/coir case over the top.

Lol again... Aside from the no pins, it looks way awesome for 5 weeks. Nice and white and not soaked in overmisting. My tubs at five weeks have all kinda odd colors in it. It's an appropriate compliment.
And yes, we know he shud be seeing pins at 4 weeks...that's why he posted for advice.

I dnt knw what is up with that tub but your obviously doing a damn good job of carring for it so far. I wud almost suggest thay you might case it, but im not that experienced with tubs yet. I've seen cakes that do this, and one of the attempts to deal with it is to dunk and roll again. I dnt knw why that wud make it pin, but it seems to be one of the reasonable remedies for cakes that act like this.

Does not look happy.
It looks like the sub is dry past the point of no return.
Were you misting at all?
You mentioned a fan... I would probably shut that off indefinitely

Could just be slow genetics. Looks over saturated to me, pick it up is there still good weight to it?

Like others have said there's some knots forming which means mushrooms are coming, looks like it might be battling an invisible contam or a white mold as some metabolites are seen in a couple spots and the coir isn't completely white in a large spot as well.

Oh yeah it is kinda yella in that last pic.
In some instances, isnt contamination a pinning trigger?
I dnt thnk it's super dry cuz it wud be bluing.
Wud an over saturated sub prevent pinning?
There are slow genetics other than PE? Might pop out some jesus looking boomers or something.
