Are My Truffles Safe To Eat? Grey Stuff Around Them Help? Photos Incl. [Atlantis Truffles]

So I ate some magic truffles yesterday the atlantis truffles about 3.5g and I had a nice trip.

I was going to eat them again today and I did see this on them yesterday but looking at photos I saw others with it so I took them anyway.

Before I take them again and could be making a big mistake could you tell me if this is normal on a truffle or some kind of mold I should not be eating thank you.

Also My Truffle might look a little wet I just washed it to eat it but now I am thinking twice just in case I included as many photos as I could of the truffle they all have the same stuff on them I think its fine but at the same time I think it could be mold or something

To add to this also I did grow them my self this is why I ask with a new kit.

Well if you ate them yesterday and you survived they can't be that bad? But equally eating them today likely won;t do anything as you'll have a tolerance to psilocybin built up..usually that takes at least a week, but usually two or more to subside before you can trip properly again

Thank you for this info. I just wanted to make sure there ok. Even though I survived I thought that maybe if it was a mold it could take a while to start making me ill. I had no clue. And true about the tolerance but I was maybe going to try a bit more than 3.5g

It'll just be a waste doing them again tonight as you'll be lucky if you get anything happening, even a week later its nothing like a trip after 3-4 weeks without..Best off freezing them then doing them at a later date

I don't see any obvious bad mold, I mean truffles by definition are mold themselves essentially, but nothing looks bad there. If you're that worried you could always great them up and boil for 30-40 mins then consume the tea

Ok thank you sounds like a good idea. I have more growing so I will keep that in mind I don't like tea that much but love the taste of the Magic Truffles so I could just boil them in the water and drink that without anything else when you boil the water do you just add the greated truffle and drink the psilocybin does not break down and get destroyed if I drink right away. And thanks for the heads up about the mold as long as there is no bad looking mold then I am happy. I understand its hard to tell from photos and can't always be sure but if that grey looking stuff is just part of a truffle then thats fine by me I do keep seeing it in other truffles online in the stock photos. So I am sure its what the magic truffle looks like inside.

Psilocybin is stable up to near 200c so boiling in water has no effect but to leach it into the water..Just boil them in water and then strain the lumps out and squeeze them to remove any remaining moisture..You don;t have to leave it as plain water, once you've finished the process you can mix packet soup or anything else that you'd make by adding water to give it some flavour etc
