Mycelium overcame brown contamination..safe to eat
    #621465 - 04/28/02 03:50 PM (21 years, 10 months ago)

Hey, quick question..
My friend has 4 pf jars mixed with brf and vermiculite, inoculated 5 weeks ago with Thailand Koh Samui strain. They all got fairly well covered with both mycelium and a distinctly brown contamination. However, all four jars are now completely covered with mycelium, and look fairly healthy. One has small pins growing out of it. He just birthed them all into a rubbermaid container. His concern is that since they were all noticeably covered with brown contamination for an extended period, are they safe to eat if they do produce fruit? Thanks.

Un-fuckin-believable. What is with those of you who post this same question over and over.

If there is contams, throw it the fuck out. Is it worth your health or your life to get high?

Ignore the last post - newbies get like that after posting a few hundred times.
There are only a few contaminants that are deadly to humans, although you may be allergic to the spores of any. Be on the safe side if you wish, but ive eaten mush of very contaminated cakes in the past and i noticed no problem. As long as the fruits arent contaminated. But, im not suggesting you go out and do it...

Try crumbling one of those precontamined cakes and see if the contam is inside, i've seen shit like that you know.
About the eat or not to eat stuff, it's your call but i guess it would be safe if the contam is dead.
