For me ego death happens when you begin to feel like you are part of everything.
You can see concepts and ideas from an many many perspectives. You no longer identify as a singular being; not god. Just one with everything. we are all one with everything at all times; it just becomes overly apparent. It is like a rebirth in some aspects. It can be very terrifying if you are not willing to let go and be okay with having no control; because that is the natural state of things.

Well, heck, there is no "abject terror" once the ego kicks it.  Sort of the point, don't ya know?  Nothing to fear, nothing to lose but your chains.

Fuck YouTube you want to find out for yourself, ignore the idiots out there.  You're getting totally the wrong idea from the morons tripping.

You want to black out fine go for it and see.  Everybody probably has a particular threshold and I learned what mine was so I'm careful not to waste the trip by going past it - I mean the TRIP goes on obviously but it's like an anesthetic kicks in and you have no conscious memory afterwards.  BTW don't confuse memory with ego mind they're not at all the same thing.

Usually though with PE 3-4 will be all you need if you don't fight the process. Unless you want more nothingness (see last paragraph :laugh2:) 

BTW Dosage is exponential - 8 is not twice 4 it's more like 4 times.

But like I said have fun, ego dissolution is nothing to fear really. :yinyang2:

According to psychonaut wiki ego death is all about memory suppression. Which is why I had no sense of myself any longer.

The op seems very confused and is over thinking such an effortless endevour.
If ego death occurs then you simple lay down and enjoy the blissfulness for as long as it lasts.

  You are NEVER in control, sober or otherwise. During ego death you are blasted in the soul with that information. Just be cool.

I've done multiple PE trips with 10 and 12 grams and one 15 gram trip. They were all amazing and mind shattering.

Man, most potent trip I've had was the equivalent to low L4, which turned sour partway through and made me swear to myself I'd never do something that dumb again (there were "reasons" to do with my life).  When I see people talking about taking 10g of penis envy, I literally shiver.  Fuuuck.

The deep end is where I've found all of the life-changing stuff. Obviously I wouldn't recommend somebody jump in with doses like this but I've been taking high doses of mushrooms and LSD for a while and I'm pretty confident I'm ready for the full-on, ego shattering ride.

I've had 6 grams penis envy

Ten grams regular cubensis with slight tolerance and it felt like 8 grams.

I've had 650ug 1p-LSD

I've had 400ug and 500ug LSD trips (assuming the tabs were underdosed) and vaped 30mg DMT on the peak.

I've had somewhere between 40-50mg 2cb.

I've tripped around 35 times. I always handle tripping extremely well. I never, ever have a bad trip. I am able to completely surrender.

You may be thinking about so-called bad trips where you're stuck in appalling shit and want to get out of it.  That's different.

I ate 8g of PE aborts and pretty much blacked out and didn't bring much back with me. IMO anything over 7g you're headed to blackout territory. Unless you stagger your dose, like say 5g than an hour later 2.5 and an hour after that another 2.5.You might get lucky and remember what happened.PE can be a real mindfuck even at say 3g. If you decide to tread in those waters be safe although you'll pretty much be comatose for the duration of the trip. Good luck with whatever you decide to do! Much love!!!

No people are saying they can achieve ego death on those low doses, and that ego death isn't dose dependent which doesn't make sense to me. Nothing to do with a bad trip. And I'm thinking on a low dose like that how can somebody slip into ego death and not be able to shake it off, if it isn't dose dependent? Because that's a low dose and people are usually quite functional and aware at those doses. Surely coming out of ego death would be a process as the drug wore off. If you can't shake it off then it would be a case of waiting for the drug to wear off. But 2-3 grams you don't need to wait for the drug to wear off as just about everyone is relatively functional at those doses.

Doesn't make sense to me. If you can't shake off ego death then surely that would be because you were on a super high dose and can't magically make the effects of the drug stop. But people are saying it isn't dose dependent and it's possible at low doses.

No ones ever had ego death from eating psychedelics. They just think they did because they tripped their nuts off. Like having a dream about ego death they got confused by their own ideas of what ego death might be
