I am going to a concert Tuesday and I'm not sure my first batch of Shroomies will be dried yet. What is the deal on eating wet shrooms?
Same potency or not?
If there a very quick drying method?

Dried shrooms are approximately 10% the weight of fresh so logically you would eat 10 times the amount of fresh as dried for the same effect.

If you live in an arid climate they might fan dry by Tuesday. Unless you have access to a food dehydrator that is your best bet.

just use the dessicant method and they will be bone dry in 2 days, but yes, you can eat them wet...why couldn't you?

I heard that fresh shrooms have a higher potency. This is because that the psilocybin (the other active ingredient) is water based so when it dries out it looses a lot of that. And when drier conditions are met (ie, trying to smoke shrooms) even the psilocybe is lost. This is what I've heard.
But bottomline is that shrooms are more potent when eaten fresh then when they are dried. Some people will tell you that you have to eat more when they're fresh, but this is not true.

Wet are stronger......I prefer the taste as well. You bite into it and get a big gulp of water. Not that shroomy taste.

yes wet are stronger but you would still have to eat 10 x the amount of grams if freshly picked hence you want a 3 gram dose i believe thats about a 30 - 35 wet gram dose

yes the water content is sometimes over 90% of the shrooms take a 10 gram wet shroom fan dry 24 hours place in desiccants chamber for complete drying 24-48 hours depending on climate them way what was your 10 gram freshly picked shroom after it is cracker dry it is like .89 grams give or take thats why !!!!!

if the "Amount" of shrooms you are talking about is the number of actual whole mushrooms, then yes, wet and dry are about the same... What everyone is trying to tell you is that dosage is (or should be) determined by weight, and wet shrooms are 10 times (aprox) heavier then dry shrooms. SO 3 GRAMS of dry shrooms is about an equal dose to about 30-35 GRAMS of fresh shrooms...

I tripped hundreds of times at hundreds of concerts, so no worry!

if a certain trip level takes 17 grams wet, that same trip level takes 2.5 grams dry to reach.... A gram dry is more potent than a gram wet, simply because a gram dry is more fungi-material, because muchies = 90% water... but wet is more potent, if that makes sense

If you want a fast drying method, do what a lot of us do...use a food dehydrator that has a temp. control gauge on it. I have an American Harvest dehydrator and the lowest I can set the heat is 90. I have perfectly crisp shrooms in under 12 hours and the potency has always been top notch.
Why waste your money on dessicant when a one-time dehydrator purchase will pay for itself in only a few flushes?

I want a food dehydrator...I'm using a fan and then desiccant right now...works good but a food dehydrator would work much quicker and I could do more at once....but I think desiccant is still good too have for storage

I typically eat 2.5-3 Ounces(80Grams?) of fresh shrooms when I dose and it does me just fine. Fresh is Good.
Cant speak for dried , never tried them.
