Humidity within a SGFC
    #25035237 -

So my cakes are colonising nicely and I’ve got a SGFC created ready for them to be transferred. I’m just wondering about humidity.

I picked this humidifier up a few years ago and was wondering if it would be wise or not to use it. It diffuses distilled water into a fine mist and spreads it into the air. I was considering creating some sort of feeder pipe which would go from the humidifier into my chamber. Anyone have any advice on doing this or should I steer clear?

Thanks

Don't do this. The point of the SGFC is that it regulates air flow and humidity all by itself because of the holes and perlite. Nothing else is needed.
Have fun with your first grow.

Humidity should be 50-80% and fluctuate thru the day. Piping in a humidifier to a sgfc is a sure fire way to get disgusting results.

Cakes make a microclimate of 90-99% humility at their surface as water evaporates off their vermiculite coating

Humidity for fruiting should be 50 - 80%? What about colonization? Same?

They're in jars then who cares what the humidity is

I'm sorry. I was thinking colonizing bulk substrate, not jars.
