Election Day 2018 * 1
    #25589130 -

Please don't give your consent to a system which only serves to abuse you. Don't vote. Stay home.

Be the change. Never beg for it.

The issue is not exclusive to the United States and the video is directed at any "western democracies".

Not going to bother re-watching the whole video but use your imagination to extend this beyond picking up trash. No matter how many laws you implement to stop littering, people are going to ignore those laws until you give them inward motivation to stop their behavior.

TL;DW: People love vandalizing ugly, empty walls. No one vandalizes an awesome mural. No one votes for murals, someone gets fed-up enough to commission it themselves. I've seen it first hand in my own community.

Edit: You simply set a good example.

Vote right, vote left, vote independent. It's all equal.
Whatever makes you feel like you are making a difference. You remain docile.

I think you're misusing that word.

Not everyone is submissive.

I think you are misunderstanding my point. No matter the outcome you will believe that you had played a role in collectively coming to that decision so you will ultimately accept it.

A vast majority of people, especially in the United States, have excessive cognitive dissonance with their own submissiveness. For example, I'll bet you still pay federal income taxes because you are afraid of repercussions even though it is technically unconstitutional. In that respect, you are submissive and docile.

To take it a step further, I am submissive and docile to the constitution in this example because I wish to uphold its values.

Federal Income tax isn't unconstitutional and I don't believe I played a role in the outcome of a vote. My state is overwhelmingly red and no matter who I vote for the state will still be red. I have only voted once in my life and will vote again in the mid-term.

You need a class in idealism vs realism. Protip: one is realistic and the other isn't.

Blah, blah, 16th Amendment to The United States Constitution. There are people who are alive today who have successfully fought the federal income tax in court and have never paid it since.

You also pointed out another flaw in our political system, gerrymandering. This, again, only serves to prove that at this point voting is a ritual of handing consent over to the government and your vote doesn't actually mean anything in terms of real influence.

If you don't believe your vote played a role in the eventual outcome, why even waste your time?

On thr income tax thing, just no. You are so wrong it is hopeless.

I voted one time in my life because Issue was very important to me, so I felt like if I didn't try I couldn't live with myself.

You offer no reasonable argument on how I am incorrect. I've offered you a real world example on how the federal income tax has been successfully proven unlawful. This to me only suggests you have cognitive dissonance to the issue at hand.

Also, how did that particular instance of voting work out for you?

Crazy_Horse said:

"Sovereign citizens" are still citizens and therefore identify themselves with the problem of government. I am a human being on planet Earth. We all are.

I am aware of his case. It only serves as an example of how we are at the level of control where basic lawfulness can be ignored in high-profile cases to set an example to the masses. There is a reason the IRS lady and others like her are virtually unheard of.

There are multiple organizations offering hundreds of thousands of dollars in bounties to anyone who can prove what you believe is too ridiculous to debate over.

Don't waste your time arguing with me about it, go collect. :dawerp:
