Enchanted Fudge Recipe

It is my intention, when I get the fruits to do it, to make my grandmother's fudge with magic-infused milk. The recipe for the fudge:

2 cups white sugar (I sometimes do 1 cup white, 1 cup dark brown)
3-4 tblsp cocoa powder, depending on your taste
2/3 cup milk
1/3 cup light (or dark) corn syrup
1/3 stick butter
1 tblsp vanilla

I plan to heat the milk slowly to about 190 degrees f. and add 300 grams fresh fruits, chopped fine. Simmer for 15 minutes. let sit and steep for 30 minutes with lid. Strain with cheesecloth, or t-shirt or something,  making sure to squeeze out every drop of magic.

Next, in a fresh large saucepan, mix sugar and cocoa, then add karo, and finally the milk. SLOWLY bring temp up to 235 degrees f(soft-ball stage) and remove from heat. Place pan in water bath, and add butter and vanilla. Fold and beat the chocolate until you can see the candy start to crystallize on the edge of the spoon. Pour into a square silicone mold, and let set. Cut into 30? equal pieces, or 15 equal pieces, as 30 would be 1 gram per piece, and 15 would be 2 grams.

I really hope this works, and I am excited to try it out. Another option would be to reduce a mushroom tea made with water, and add to the milk, taking out the volume of water from the milk in the recipe.

Fucking genius. Fat in the milk doesn't inhibit infusion? I'm thinking how I can't get a strong tea (regular black tea) if I put milk in first.

That's the only thing questionable. Maybe I'll have to make a tea, and reduce the volume and take the final volume from the amount of milk to make it work properly, but I'm gonna try, dammit, lol. If it works......damn, it'll be easy to dose big.

I am questioning whether thee actives won't break down with this method. Normally, mushroom chocolates have powder folded into it in a melted state. The mushrooms are already dehydrated, so they are more preserved. A tea made from, or added to milk, then made into chocolate, would degrade, no? I'd refrigerate or freeze these, but never would a normal batch of fudge. Maybe I'm questioning it too much, hahah.

What do you think?

Psilocybin needs to be over 400f to be destroyed.
Boiling water at a hard boil is 212f.
Just make em already lol

Only change I might make is if possible use condensed milk and add the boiled shroom water, just boil them with the amount you'll need to mix  so you don't have too much.
I have never made fudge but I imagine you need to get moisture content right.

I know the actives won't be destroyed in the process, just that they aren't being preserved? When they are dry, they are preserved. In chocolates, they are preserved, also, and protected by the chocolate coating. This way the actives are in the fudge, and I'm not sure they will be protected.

I will be making this in a few weeks to a month. I have grain jars colonizing, and have new shoe boxes ready to start. I think I will do an instructional video for the fudge aspect, as well.
