Moral Orel is the best show ever

If you haven't seen it Morel Oral is an older animated Adult Swim show making fun of religious people. It takes place in "Moralton Statesota" which is a strict christian town and is centered around a young naive religious boy who constantly misinterprets parts of his religion and gets in trouble. It's pretty dark/twisted satirical comedy but the writing is very clever.

Such an amazing animated parody of religion. I just realized there is a full 24 minute special called Trust as well that is sort of a prequel to the show.

It's pretty great.  I think it was made by one of the guys who wrote for Mr. Show back in the '90s.  That fucker whose name sounds greek as fuck.

Dino Stinopalous or something like that, he also made the animated show Mary Shelley's FrankenHole and is on The Community I guess.

All the subtle things in Morel Oral are what really sell it for me. The mock christian music (including metal) ((BURN IN HEAVEN, AHHHHHHHHHHHHH)) all the funny details with the townsolks. In one episode the bitchy librarian has 3 books on her desk with Dick in the title but they have post it notes with BOB written over, Moby BOB, BOB and Jane, and my favorite, The Skull by Philip K Bob.

That episode is so trippy. Also I really love the one where he tries meditation.

The punishment episode is also really hilarious, the scene where his dad takes off his belt to spank him and Orel bites his lip in excitement gets me every time :lol:

Also the "Glory Hallelujah Hole" :rofldrunk:
