Amantia Muscaria Formosa identification

I hope I'm doing this right. :smile:

Is this AM Formosa? I have looked around and it is hard to not get seemingly contradictory information.

Habitat: Growing from the ground under pine trees/around the outer edge of the fallen pines from the pine trees.
Location: Northern Maine, USA
Smell: Smells like mushrooms to me.

This last summer I tried mushrooms for the first time)and then two more times. I took a quarter oz each time and found the experience incredible. I would also like to try microdosing in the future as the days after taking the mushrooms I found myself to be decidedly happier. Unfortunatly, since I got the mushrooms through someone I know, I do not actually know what type I had.

If this is AM Formosa - is it a good mushroom to take? I see mixed answers. Some say it will just make you feel drunk (which is not what I am looking for). But it is hard to tell because you don't know if the person has actually tried them or are just tryinig to be moralistic and steer you away from any mushroom experiences.

If it is good to go - I understand I should dry them in the oven at 180 until like a cracker?

If they are good, and I decide to get more and dry for future use - I understand that I should cut them at the base and not pull out the root? I don't want to overharvest and be greedy - can I take them all if cut at the root or every other one or how much?

none. i saw your post but can't ID Amanitas.

and yes, it's mostly a disassociative, not psychoactive in the sense of Psilocybin containing mushrooms, so it is often described as a drunken feeling.
