If you are in the proximity of such a device, it really just needs to know its own location in order to have a pretty good idea of your approximate location. But then the challenge is blanketing everywhere with such devices so you're always in range.

I'm really scared about the Biblcal reference some Of the religion Christian's are talking about the mark of the beast from the microchip, because they say the chip will be needed in order to buy or sell in the USA.

I think some people will be cutting off their hands to get rid of the chip that they installed into the hand in the not so distant future.

People (not you specifically) often confuse how GPS really works.  GPS satellites only broadcast.  They broadcast the time.  They do not receive information.  Its a one way transmission.  With 4 satellite's information you get your latitude, longitude an elevation.  This is calculated within the GPS device and doesn't require any information to be sent out.

For tracking, information needs to be sent out.  This requires the cellular network or something similar and it requires much more power.

Im a trans-humanist.  I welcome the melding of technology and biology in general.  Of course all new technology has the power to be abused.  Its up to us to prevent that from happening.  Im not going to reject the technology outright due to this fear.

Depending on the advantages it brings, I wouldn't mind being chipped.  In the case presented here though, I don't see the value.

I want one arm that is metal and can telescope out and punch through walls and snap necks in half and stuff like that, but that still allows me the sensory experiences a normal arm and hand do so I retain my full sense of touch and everything. I also want want a small square port in my chest where I can put in vegetables like fuel without having to taste them. I would consume more vegetables than anyone and be strong as hell.

Agreed. GPS requires power while those chips need an electronic pulse to work. Maybe GPS tracking in the work building, thats about it! :lol:
