or dumber?

which do you think would work out better, a world of people with minimum IQ of 130 or maximum IQ of 80?

Better or worse are just human ideas.  As a result, your question necessarily calls for a homocentric view of a "better world." If ignorance is bliss, then dumber makes for a better world.  I'm not sure ignorance is bliss, though.

I know this much:  Beautiful women make the world better.

I know this probably sounds counter-intuitive but I consider smarts not equivalent to intelligence.  I've met a lot of intelligent people who weren't "smart" in the sense intelligent people were and vice versa.  Hope this makes a shred of sense.  Kind of street smarts vs books and that line of argument.  I would say no a world of high IQ people without practical experience is not going to better a society

i get what you're saying, but i don't want this to devolve into a debate over what constitutes being smart.
Let's ignore the IQ example, and just go with whatever smart or dumb means to you.

Dumber. Because dumb is actually smart and smart is actually dumb.

Dumb to me is just someone who lives by the basics and doesnt care for much else. Thats what we need now.

Silent, still, standing alone, unchanging,
All-pervading, unfailing,
I do not know its name; I call it tao.
If forced to give it a name, I call it
Great (ta). Being great, it flows out;
Flowing out means far-reaching;
Being far-reaching, it is said to return.

It's just a shot away..

Smarter of course,  just hope they also pride themselves on ethics and morals rather then who can accumulate the largest amount of "wealth" while defiling the environment and taking advantage of other people.

Taking the time to reflect on our choices and paths would lead to a better world as well as moving beyond the end justifies the means.

Religions are the primary evil to human evolution, the stick muddying the water if you will.

OP I would say it kind of depends. Some people aren't smart as much as they're just good at parroting information. That's not smart, to me. Smart people are born smart, you can tell just by being around them. If the latter were true then perhaps technology would be further ahead and that would improve quality of life overall.

None of that changes human nature though. What intelligence does though is it tends to make people more reserved and in some ways more judgemental. Intelligent people tend to mind being alone less. That's not an opinion. The human race needs one thing and it's not some mystic intelligence boost. It's cooperation.

We can already answer that with the real world. Africa is 80 IQ at best and its a septic shithole.

No intelligence has no bearing on morality.

Yes

In my mind intelligence's primary form is wisdom, if the common people were wise we would have no need for war or violence of any kind, no trouble with waste and pollution, no rapes, no obesity, no corruption.

No corrupt religions, prohibition or overpopulation either.
