Coco coir is sorta hard to find outside the internet. So as an alternative you can do the 50% verm 50% peat moss TEK

I believe that coco coir is the same thing jiffy uses in their seeds starting kits if so U can pick up just the pellets at wal-mart for $.97 for a bag.

50/50 peat/verm is my casing of choise, works great and easy to find.

peat is harder to work with because you'll have to adjust the pH level.

coir is neutral, i believe, and therefore doesn't need any adjustment. it can be found at most pet stores in the lizards section. it is used as a terrarium substrate for the lizards.
