I can't rate anyone!

If I click on anyone's (including my own) shroomies to view/rate i get this message:

Error: You must be a member of the forums, and be logged in to use this feature. Please create an account and log in.

From that point I can press back in my browser (Opera 7) or even click the Main Index link and continue just fine.

Try clearing your cookies and logging in again. If you still have this problem please let me know.

yeah, that got it. opera7, cookies, and shroomery.org is a vicious love/hate triangle. i'm sure it has something to do with the fact that only specific server cookies are allowed and cookies being deleted on exit.

for those using opera:

if you have problems such as being able to log in but not access the forums (says you need to log in) or not being able to rate and you are selectively allowing cookies you don't have to delete cookies4.dat to alleviate the problems. simply temporarily set the privacy->cookies settings to accept from all servers, log in, go to a forum, and then revert the settings to allow for selected servers only.

it seems opera is not handling the cookie correctly in selective mode but the only place i have this problem is at the shroomery so i'm hesitant to place 100% of the blame on the browser. i'm using ver7.11 which is a bit outdated and may well be the source of this problem.
