Ps. Tampanensis project

:jah:!Whats up my fellow Shroomerites!:jah:

So I have embarked on a Ps. Tampanensis project.I received the spores from a member in a trade. Swiped the print(which was ultra clean), made a couple transfers just to ensure a clean culture. I PC'd my rye for 2 hours at 15 psi. There were 6 jars of rye berries Tiger dropped 2.0 style.

One jar absolutley exploded with growth, So i shook it at 50%(I did not realize this was a no no with Stone producers :shrug:) So at 100% and a few days consolidation period I spwawned that jar to a mini mono. Substrate is Straw/Hpoo/Verm in a 2:1:1 ratio. I soaked the straw for 24 hours in lime then mixed all three ingredients and proper pastuerized for a little over an hour in a mycobag. I then let the sub cool overnight and spawned the next day.

P.S. I know the spawn to sub ratio is kinda low at about 1:3 but I was planning on doing two trays. Unfortunately when i cracked the jar of Pan Cambos I was planning on spawning I almost  :puke:  from the smell of the jar hahaha, needless to say i tossed it! But that left me with some extra sub, so I tossed it in with the Tamps..


These are the other five jars, some younger then others. Two already have significant oarnge color appearring with sclerotia veins, the others are not as old and are a couple weeks away. The plan for these jars is to allow them to colonize completely, then I will shake once and spawn to a tub. Hoping to acheive both fruits and stones simultaneaously.




Going forward I have a clean Tamp dish that i plan on expanding to a larger project soon...

its fine that you shook it to reach 100%. stones dont start forming until after 100% colonization.
