Drying Tampanensis...

People,
I could really do with some help. For the past number of months I have been buying Philosopher Stones (P.Tampanensis) on a regular basis. 400grms fresh normally weighs about 160grms dried. This is because they are about 60% water. However, the last time I dried 400grms, it weighed just over 100grms.

What I did differently was I broke up the fresh stones very finely, almost to a soil texture. I also placed the fresh shrooms on a radiator. Have they just lost all the water due to the fine texture, or have I damaged them by placing them directly on a radiator?

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the radiator isnt hot, they should probably be ok. Its most likely just because they just grew with more water in them, and thus dried out a little more. They might have dried more thoroughly if broken all up, exposing more surface area to evaporative conditions.
