LoL "Its the bums loss Mr. Lebowski! The bums Loss!" hehehe yer name kix ass, I love that movie! anyways...as far as i know light is only needed to start pinning, you can leave it on during fruiting to help direct the shrooms to grow toward the light. thats why your supposed to use opaque contaners when casing. yeup...."thats a bummer man...."

So should I just always give it 2 hours of light a day even when the shrooms are growing because it wouldn't be any trouble because I have that Timer and it'll help them no where up is? Does two hours a day sound good?

I've read you could shine a flashlight on them for 10mins and that would be enough. But yes, since you have the timer i'd just set it up and let it be on two hours a day. Just make sure you dont dry out your cakes, or casing or whatever your using.

I should add some people leave a light on for 12 hours a day, some 7, some 24. its all up to you leave it on as much as you want. long as you make sure not to dry out your cakes/casing and make sure it doesnt get too hot in there.

They really don't need any light at all. If they are getting a bit of filtered sunlight in your room during the day, thats enough! No need to spend money on lighting ewquipment and timers...these aren't pot plants!
