Humidifier timing....

Im curious as to how people time their lights and humidifiers and such.
I saw these timing things at Lowes and Home Depot that are timers that shut things off and turn them on....but they were like 25 bucks. Is this what I looking for? Cause I want to try a cool mist.....even though I have good luck with just perlite I want to experiment with different shit. But since Im casing now and have to keep the humidity a bit lower I dont want it on all the time. What do you guys use for timing?

My setup:
Humidification: Cool mist humidifier, 10 min on every hour.
Light: indirect daylight.
