casing time and light?

how long do i leave a casing in the dark to cultivate until i start introdicing light?

incubate @ 84 degrees in darkness with tin or saran wrap for usually around 2-4 days...until you see little mycilum spots coming through the lower spots of the casing. Or when its about 25% covered with little spots...shouldnt be too much colonized becuase that usualyl leads to overlay. You actually dont even have to see THAT much coming through to give it light.

So if youre using rye grain, youd pour the jar out, case it, cover in saran, put it BACK in the incuybation chamber, and wait 2-4 days, then take the wrap off, and let it rip in the fruiting chamber = ~74 degrees.. 95% humid?
