Hi!i!i!i!i!i!i!I!i!i! So uhhh....my friend is doing a casing for his/her (hemaphrodite) first time and he/she has some questions. so afer one puts the cakes in the trays and puts the casing mixture on top of it what do you do? are you supposed to leave them in the dark for a week without misting? should my friend be fanning during this period? also, my friend told me that he/she didn't see any humidity in his/her terrarium. he/she's using perlite for humidity. if my friend has to go oout of town for days what should he/she do about his/her science project? Thank you peeps!

That about says it all the only thing I can add is every time I go out and then come back which is about 5 times a day I open it up and fan it and even when Im home all day I open the lid and fan it every 3-4 hours or so. I dont think there is such a thing as too much gas exchange after the mycelium has recovered is there?
Tell me something good then I might agree with you..

No fanning during the colonization of the casing layer. Use saran wrap as previously stated, but poke a few holes so your casing can breath. Humidity is invisible, perlite is all you need. Once birthed, he/she can't leave town. Fresh air is a must.
