Nope, no exploding electrons :frown:

But we are getting close to creating a micro black hole!

I think I learned the universe will end--in fact, it has to. All atoms and such have halflifes, as well... and one day they'll all decompose.

No, not all atoms have halflives...only unstable atoms have a half-life.

I can guarantee you an atom of hydrogen won't be breaking down into anything else :smirk:

However there are some theories which predict proton decay. As we have never actually seen a proton decay...we can't be sure about the theories. I think the halflife of a proton, even in these theories, is still longer than the current age of the universe anyway - so it's not something that happens too often. However IF protons do decay then yes, eventually they will all decay and there will be no more matter!

The cosmos is very powerfull it created everything it has in it. Including us.
As like you said in your post everything has an oposite well whats the oposite of completly nothing??? Maybe nothingnes was that spark for the big boom. We will sadly never know all we can do is speculate.

I think the universe is learning about itself thats why its expanding. How is it learning?? I think by creating things like us that become self aware (life is just another random fixture of molecules that got a little spark so) and are able to learn and expand thus discovering things about life itself. Also learning is the one sure thing next to dying.

peace
