man that's a lot of injured dudes....

I wonder what constitutes an injury? like if some guy falls down a dune and hits his finger on a rock is that a war injury?

or some guy in an office opening up an envelope of war documents get a paper-cut.. is that a war injury?

or some guy gets his ass kicked by his co-fighters for being a smart-ass on the battlefield - is that a war injury?

I'd be surprised if they don't count just about every type of injury, but I don't know for sure.

He cited the case of five members in the Mississippi National Guard who had been wounded in a booby-trap bomb explosion. Incredibly, their injuries were listed by the military as "non combat."

On October 3rd UPI reported that 4,000 soldiers had been medically evacuated from Iraq for non-combat reasons.

I served my time for daddy bush durning panama89 and the gulf91 as a combat MP. You don't get evacuated and leave the theatre of action until you are broken, or leaking, or are missing body parts, or are pregnant. So when 4,000 have been evacuated for non-combat reasons, add most of that to the cnn combat figure and you get a mess worse than viet nam figures. Not only was bush's WMD crap cooked up, so are his wounded figures. That DUI, fake turkey carrying, awol, president makes me wanna puke.
