Incubate with light? Sounds like heresey to me Just kidding. Thanks for the info Mycofile, I was actually getting ready to ask a question about pinning in vitro with the cambodian strain. My jars are almost completly colonized. Do you think it is too late for them to pin in vitro if I expose them to light at this point? Well I guess it can't hurt either way so I'll give it a try.

myco speaks truth..i've seen pins form 28-29 days from inoculation on several strains that are notorious for being slow/difficult to trigger pinning post birth. this one's a keeper, folks. ------------------ Visit http://www.drooldonkey.org Global Psychedelic Community, Forums & Chat, Teks & Tips.

Wicky, I've never seen the cambos in action, but have heard ryche comment on their ability to pin invitro readily. I would say that a little light and a week or two should deffinately do it. Also, if you guys keep it chilly in your houses during the summer as we do around here, once you reach full colonization, just set them on a shelf in normal room light. We keep the temps in the low 70's around here, so that's a pretty good temp drop from the 84 deg incubator, which also helps to trigger the pins. ------------------ -From a registered Mad Scientist "From a certain point of view" -Jedi Master Obiwan Kenobi (also a Mad Scientist tm) VisitThe Donkey!-just behave

Does it make a difference if I'm casing it? Ahh, probably not, but thanx for the info anyway, I'm gonna let one grow PF style anyway.

I just checked my jars this evening and found that one had begun to pin. I don't know if this was from exposing them to light or not, but it certainly didn't hurt. This has happened in the 3-4 days since I first read this post and exposed them to light.

Welcome to McShroomery. May I take your order?Yes, I'd like a McBump combo. Better supersize it. Would you like to try one of our McAnnoying creative bump messages to go with that? No thank-you, I have enough of those. $0.00, please read through. Oh, yeah, this should be reserved for cake fruiters only IMO. You don't want to case cakes that have already pinned, or you'll have trouble colonizing the casing. ------------------ -From a registered Mad Scientist "From a certain point of view" -Jedi Master Obiwan Kenobi (also a Mad Scientist tm) VisitThe Donkey!-just behave [This message has been edited by mycofile (edited November 10, 2000).]
