Ii think your cat needs to meditate...

well thats a more scientific response, you scent changes completely when inducing psychedelics.

man! this is EXACTLY What i've been wondering about! it drives me crazy! i swear to god, they have a radar for this, and they totally foil all my attempts to meditate! its uncanny! i think they are secret paranormal entities put here to prevent human beings from reaching enlightenment
LOL! I am naturally in a meditative state and have never had to actually meditate to reach it, but in the early 90's i had these weird experiences of rapid frequency raising in my energy centers during which i became so sensitive that i could only lay there in bed and barely move. And every single time this happened, my cat would come over and position itself on the exact energy centers which were being opened. Since then i have become much like a cat myself and feel energies in the same way they do. If i walk into an unknown person's room, i am usually able to feel if it has been used for meditation or similar activities, since that creates a very specific vibe. Kokserek wrote: Quote:
I find that cats are attention freaks (yet always cold and distant, figure that..) and they probably can't stand you turning inward and not staring at their puckered anus while they walk around with their tails held high.
LOL! In my experience it is the same if you try to read or work with something wile the cat is in the room; it will invariably come over to see what you're doing and often try to lay down right in the middle of it. Very annoying. Though i've read in one of the greatest understand-your-cat books i ever seen (don't remember the name of it, unfortunately) that in cat language, intense staring at something (such as a book) or, in the cat's case, for example a mouse, means "hey guys, this is very interesting, come over and check it out!" So if the cat gets miffed at you for brushing it aside it is no wonder! Like: "WTF is the matta with ya? You're the one who invited me over to see what was so goddam interesting." According to the same book, btw, the tail held high means the cat is feeling good and approving of your company. And if you want to smile at your cat, do it mainly with your eyes, by slowly sqeezing them together and radiating non-intense feelings of affection. That's how they smile at you.

Um... Yes?
Actually, you have no idea how close you are. I function so much more like a cat than a human: - I am very independent and always have to do things my own way. - I am super sensitive and get very stressed by loud noise, strong smells, bright light, bad vibes etc. - I am low-emotional and find emotionally intense & expressive people very disrupting to be around. - I get more attached to houses than to people and am only social when i feel like it. - I have my favorite places, favorite paths, favorite food (which i eat every day, every meal). - I love to sleep, need a really nice and cozy bed, and hate cold. - I am innately lazy and only go out if there is something i want to 'catch'. - And i hate dogs!

Perhaps you were a cat in your past life? That'd be pretty cool I'd like know what its like to expirence a full lifetime of a panther in the deep center of the rainforest (the parts most undisturbed by people) or maybe a tiger. Cats are awesome Peace Edit: BTW, that is a pretty cool effect you did to the photo, Swami *three thumbs up*

Maybe it is seeking for revenge... There is a very old zen story that can tell us the origin of this phenomenon... --------- Ritual cat - Complicating what is simple
When a spiritual master and their disciples began his evening's meditation, the cat that lived at the monastery did so much noise that distracted them. Then the teacher ordered that the cat was gagged during the night practice. Years later, when the master died, the cat continued to be tied during the meditation. And when the cat eventually died, other cat was brought for the monastery and tied. Centuries later, when all of the facts of the event were lost in the past, intellectual apprentices that studied spiritual master's teachings wrote long scholastic treaties about the meaning of gagging a cat during the practice of the meditation...
------- When i saw this post, i could not avoid to remember this story ....
